A tough dust- and waterproof feature phone by Cherry Mobile, going by the name U2, is going to be released soon, and we now have the official product photos.
The specs are still scarce, and there's no official word yet on the release date, but according to leaks, IP67 certification against dust and liquids is on the U2's agenda. It also has what Cherry Mobile calls a "Floating System," which probably helps the phone combat the elements.
Still, the hard-shell housing is the main draw, and judging by the product photos, the U2 can surely take a beating. In addition, there's a microSD card slot, 1.3-megapixel camera, and, if the flyers hold true, a bundled Swiss army knife. All these for a suggested retail price of just PhP 2,399
