Samsung really knows how to make successful flagship smartphones. The South Korean company just announced that their Samsung Galaxy S III has already hit the 20 million mark in unit sales in just100 days since its debut last May. That’s just over three months!
It is now Samsung’s most successful smartphone to date, breaking records set by its predecessors. For comparison, the older Samsung Galaxy S II reached its 10 million sales in 5 months which was also a sales record at that time. The original Samsung Galaxy S, on the other hand, was able to achieve 5 million unit sales
in 4 months.
“The GALAXY S III has enjoyed tremendous attention and popularity since its launch in May, and we are thrilled with its success,” said JK Shin, President and Head of IT & Mobile Communications Division at Samsung Electronics. “I would like to express my sincere appreciation to customers who have chosen the GALAXY S III.
