If you’re the clumsy type who often manage to get your phone wet by either dumping it on a sink with running water (raise hand) or having a glass of water spill its contents on your phone (raise hand), then you might want to invest on phones that are made for such abuse.
There are not a lot of Android handsets available that caters to the rugged or active lifestyle but Sony has two that targets different price points. The Sony Xperia go is an entry-level phone while the Sony Xperia acro S is for those wanting more power and size from their phones. Both of these are water, dust, and scratch-resistant smartphones!
Sony Xperia go
The Sony Xperia go is made for on-the-go individuals wanting a compact yet stylish, and durable smartphone. It is equipped with a 3.5-inch screen with Reality Display and Sony Mobile Bravia technology for superb viewing. Powering this handset is a dual-core 1GHz processor that runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. You’ll also get a 5-megapixel camera here and Sports and Fitness apps pre-loaded.
The phone features wet finger tracking where you can still use it properly even when wet, just not underwater. It has a ruggedized shell in either black, white, or yellow color and retails for Php14,490.
