Samsung rolls out Android Jelly Bean for the Galaxy S3, soon on other devices

Samsung started rolling out the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for their flagship phone, the Galaxy S3. Poland gets first dibs but before you start jumping for joy, it will gradually roll out in other markets in no specific timeframe.
With this news, the Samsung Galaxy S3 becomes the first non-Nexus handset to get Android Jelly Bean. Samsung also announced that after the Galaxy S3, the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 & 10.1, Galaxy Note 10.1, Galaxy SII, Galaxy Note, Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, Galaxy S Advance, Galaxy SII LTE, Galaxy Music, Galaxy Chat, Galaxy Ace 2, Galaxy Beam, Galaxy Ace Plus, Galaxy mini II and Galaxy S DUOS will also be getting their respective update.

Aside from the new features the Jelly Bean update will bring, Samsung Galaxy S3 owners will also get a few Samsung-software updates. The pop-up play video can now be resized and positioned anywhere in the screen like in the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1. Pause and resume is now possible while video recording so you don’t have to take multiple videos. There’s also Blocking Mode where you can block notifications, incoming calls, alarms and LED indicators for a period of time.
We’ll keep you posted once we got word when the Jelly Bean update reaches the Philippines.
